Dewayne D. Buning

DeWAYNE D. BUNING, age 77 of Fostoria, MI died on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Fishers Senior Care. The family will hold a Celebration of Life from 1-3PM on October 23, 2022 at the Forest Twp Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice, 1515 Cal Dr., Davison, MI 48423. Following cremation, burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery. DeWayne was born on February 12, 1945 to Robert and Myrtle Buning. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and married Sharleen Smith on January 23, 1971 in Holly, MI. DeWayne enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outside on his tractor. He liked tinkering with his model trains and was fascinated by all trains. He is survived by his wife, Sharleen; children: Brian (Judy) Buning and Lisa (Rick Filarski) Buning; grandchildren: Brad (Karlie), Caitlyn (Aaron), Brandon, Jacob, Dylan, Rayne (Andrew), and Shawn; great grandchildren: Nicole, Colton, Matthias, Brynleigh, and Brady; and siblings: Walter Buning and Sandi Buning. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Elaine.
