David F. Kuzava

David F. Kuzava, age 69 of Houghton Lake, formerly of Clio, died on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at McLaren Bay City. Cremation has taken place. His memorial service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, December 09, 2023 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 11AM until the time of his service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.

Dave was born in Flint on June 27, 1954 to Frank and Lillian Kuzava. David was a 1972 graduate of Powers Catholic High School. For many years he was employed by the family business, Genesee Fence Company. He knew the fence industry inside and out as he was taught by his father and grandfather.  David had a great sense of humor and a big personality.  he could joke and "cut-up" with the best of them.  He coined his own nickname, "The King" and orgininated many nicknames for his family and friends.  He enjoyed his time at Houghton Lake, hunting, fishing, golfing and playing cards. Dave was a big sports fan. He loved watching Michigan, Lions, Red Wings and the Tigers. His favorite sports games to watch were those of his kids and grandkids.

He is survived by his sons: Aaron (Christina) Kuzava, Blake (Brandie) Kuzava, and Bryan Kuzava; grandkids: Noah, Gabe, Chloe, Jaxson, Avery, and Greyson, Liam; siblings: Denise (Dennis) Campbell, Renee (Jerry) Hobson, Matthew (Lana) Kuzava, Frank G. Kuzava, Joan (Stuart) Freebold, Dorothy Kuzava, Cheryl (Scott) Kaufmann, and Keith Kuzava; special friends Charles Rizk and Dan Lancto. He was preceded in death by his parents.
