David Ferris

DAVID D. FERRIS, age 88 of Lupton, died Monday, July 23, 2018 at the Villa in Rose City. His memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with Pastor Kay Leitelt officiating. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from noon until the time of his service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the West Branch VFW. David was born on September 12, 1929 to Robert and Edith Ferris. He married Raymonde Berard on January 23, 1954 in Winnipeg, Canada. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from General Motors in August of 1983. He was a member of UAW Local 651, the Civil Air Patrol, and volunteered at the Villa for 17 years. Surviving is his daughter, Carol Foskett; grandson, Matthew Foskett; grandchildren: Vanessa and Isaac; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, six siblings, and son in-law, Marty Foskett.
