Craig "Cj" Johnson

CRAIG "CJ" JOHNSON, age 61 of Montana, formerly of Flint, died Friday, February 24, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be 11AM Friday, March 2, 2012 at Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, Pastor Tom Fargo officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. Visitation hours will be Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 1PM-8PM. Contributions may be made to the family. Before moving to Montana, CJ worked for Johnson Farms, Kurtz Gravel, and Concrete Materials. He graduated from Kearsley High School in 1968 and was a member of the Michigan Quarter Horse Association and the Michigan Cattleman's Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors, but his passion was horses. CJ loved riding and showing horses and was a true horseman. Surviving are his sons: Dustan "Dually" (Robin) Johnson of Belgrade, Montana, formerly of Flint, and Cory "Piper" Johnson of Flint; Grandchildren: Ashley, Madison, and Myla; mother: Hazel Johnson; brothers: Alan "AJ" (Patricia "Bernie") Johnson and Ryan "PeeWee" (Rita) Johnson; sister: Beth "Buford" (Frank "Rambo") Sorensen; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Johnson.
