Clyde "Chick" Mullins

Clyde "Chick" Mullins, age 89 of Millington, died on Friday, March 22, 2024 at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 12PM on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Friday, March 29, 2024 from 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Andrea and the hospice team from Absolute Homes Health and Hospice Care.

Chick was born in Hurley, VA on April 07, 1934 to James "EBE" and Dora Mullins.  He married Loretta Burr on March 22, 1956 in Pikesville, KY. He retired from GM Truck and Bus in Pontiac after 37 years. Chick was a deer hunter and an avid coon hunter.  He enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and fishing, but most of all, he was a family man, who loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. Chick loved people and hated to see people go hungry. He made sure everyone was fed, including strangers.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Loretta; children: Doug Mullins, Julie Browder, Lisa (Chris) Riedel, Tina Mullins, and Miranda Mullins; grandchildren: Dustin, Chad, Andrea, Anthony, Christopher, Blake, Valarie, Elijah, Cora, Hannah, Natalie, and Kate; great grandchildren: Faith Ann, Kaydince, Laurisa, Katie, Bentleigh, Oakleigh, Kiley, and Blake; and great-great grandchildren: Andre and Aurora. He was preceded in death by his children: Julie Browder, James Mullins, and Gerald Mullins; siblings: Audry "Sue" Justice, Columbus Mullins, Warren Mullins, Juanita "Jody" Lester, Rev. Bill Mullins, and Larry Mullins.
