Clyde H. Jones

CLYDE H. JONES, JR., age 91 of Millington, died on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Maple Woods Manor in Clio. His funeral service will be held at 2PM on Monday, June 6, 2022 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with Pastor Dean Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Monday, June 6, 2022 from Noon until the time of his service at the funeral home.

Clyde was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 17, 1931 to Clyde and Wilma Jones. He joined the US Air Force in 1948 and served his country during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. His military career spanned over 22 years before retiring in 1970 as a Master Sergeant. He became a letter carrier for the United States Post Office, where he served as the President of the Letter Carriers Union. Clyde enjoyed watching sports, especially his children and grandchildren's sporting events.

He is survived by his wife: Barb Jones; children: Jennifer Jones-Redfern, Robert Jones, Allen Jones, Julia (Rod) Swanson, and Joshua (Jan) Jones; 24 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Clyde H. Jones, III (Hal); his siblings; and his parents.
