Claudia Jean Snyder Scott of Otisville, Michigan, 64, died May 26, 2019 in McLaren Hospital, Flint Michigan. She was born February 25, 1955 to Claude Aaron Snyder and Helen Ogle Snyder in Adrian, Michigan. She married John Monro Scott November 20, 1985 who proceeded her in death September 23, 2015. Left to cherish her memory are brother, Gary Allan Snyder (Mary) of Toledo and sister, Candace Ann Van Sickle (Allen), of Manitou Beach, Michigan. Nephew, Michael Snyder of Toledo, Ohio and Nieces Michelle Dutkiewicz of Toledo, Ohio, Nichole Karabetsos (Michael) of Manitou Beach, Michigan and Dawn Wheaton (Glen) of Somerset, Michigan. Also a great nephew Caden Karabetsos and great nieces Kahlen and Keira Wheaton of Somerset Michigan.

Claudia graduated from Siena Heights College with a bachelors in education and minor in Spanish, she was an educator for over 30 years many of which were at Beecher Community Schools. She also taught Night and Summer school. She used her bilingual skills in Spanish with migrant children, she was also fluent in American Sign Language, she used both of these skills while fostering children and participating in Big Sister/Little Sister program.

She was active in the Lions Club and is a past president. She was a member of Red Hat Society, trained dogs for PAWS with a Cause, was involved in Boy Scouts, and a Clown with the Shriners Circus. Claudia and John were involved in starting a program for kids to read to therapy dogs at school.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on Sunday June 2, 2019 at 3pm.
