Claude Francis Jones

CLAUDE FRANCIS (Casey) JONES, age 90 of Millington passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at St Mary's of Saginaw. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Monday June 14, 2010 at the Hudson Funeral Service, Otisville. Burial will be in Millington Twp. Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday June 13 from1 PM to 8PM at the funeral home. He was born November 14, 1919 at Otter Lake, MI the son of the late Frank and Addie (Manwaring). He graduated from Millington High School in 1939. After high school he was employed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). He then served a three year tour of duty in the U.S. Army with the Military Police Battalion during WWII. He married the late Christine Duncan on May 12, 1944. She preceded him in death in October of 2003. He retired from Eaton Foundries in 1983. Claude was known for his witty sense of humor, and his kindness and consideration to others throughout his life. Surviving are his 2 sons: Terry Jones and wife Susan of Millington, and Michael Shilko Sr. and wife Anita of Kimberling City, Missouri, and daughter Liz Comes of Baltimore, MD.; grandchildren: Scott Jones of Millington, Terry Jones and wife Debbie of Aurora, IL, Michael Shilko Jr. and wife Pam of Kansas City, MO, Cameron Shilko of Kansas City , MO, and Louis Comes of Baltimore, MD, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings: Florence Hemingway, Jack Manwaring, Grace Thwing, Mary Sherman, Harold Jones and Katheryn Jones
