CLARA O. PENNEY of Columbiaville, age 92, Thursday January 25, 2007 at Lapeer Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday January 29, 2007 at Hudson Funeral Service, Inc., Otisville, Rev. Jim James officiating. Burial will be in Meadowview Cemetery, Columbiaville. Visitation will be Saturday and Sunday 1-4 PM, 6-9PM. She was born in Wheatland, Indiana on Mar 15, 1914 the daughter of Hiram and Mary Davis. She married Warren Penney, November 25, 1936, at the Royal Oak Women's Club, Royal Oak, MI., 70 years ago. She and her husband Warren ran a dairy farm for many years in the Columbiaville area. Clara was a member of the Columbiaville Baptist Church and taught the Child Evangelism Bible Class for many years. Surviving are her husband: Warren; daughter: Mary (Jan) vanDongen; daughter-in-law: Kay Penney; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; sister: Marie (Al) Curtis; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son: Robert W. Penney and sisters and brother: Stella Bovee, Gladys Smith, Alva Davis, and Laura Davis
