Christopher Candela

CHRISTOPHER CANDELA age 84 of Otter Lake, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at Brian's House, Davison. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, April 27, 2007 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Otisville. Burial will be in Otter Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 11 AM to 9 PM, with Scripture Service at 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Brian's House, 1515 Cal Dr., Davison, MI 48423. Christopher was born in Detroit, MI on September 3, 1922 the son of Vincent and Petrina Candela. He married Rosemarie Hope Gifford on September 16, 1947 in Lapeer. He worked at Chevrolet Manufacturing Div. in Flint. Christopher enjoyed farming, pheasant hunting, cars and bird watching. Surviving are his wife: Rosemarie Hope (Gifford) Candela; Children: Christopher (Roxanne) Candela, Petrina (Eugene) Atkins, Vincent (Karen) Candela, Rosemarie (Tom) Bryant, Nicholas (Corina) Candela, Maria (Mike) Church; 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; 2 sisters and a brother: Pearl, Vincent, and Petrina. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters: Nicholas, Joseph, Catherine, Pauline and Lena.
