Cheryl Lynn Layman

Cheryl Lynn Layman, age 66 of Otisville, died Friday, June 12, 2026. A private burial has taken place and a memorial lunch and gathering will be held at 1PM on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 6100 Richfield Rd., Flint, MI 48506.

Cheryl was born in Flint on October 21, 1959 to Russell and Carol Summerfield. She enjoyed reading, playing video games, flowers, decorating, sewing and crafting. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Layman; children: Jared (Lindsay) Layman, Cristen (Charles) King, Cara (Joel) Stone, Joel Layman, and James Layman; grandchildren: Katie, Jake, Jackson, Jay and Xavier; great grandson, Alex; mother, Carol; favorite dog, Lacey; nephew, Ryan Rockwell; and niece, Amber (Alex) Miller.
