Cheryl Lee Ingerson (nee Clausing) went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 28th, 2025 at the age of 79. Her funeral service will be held at 1PM Saturday February 1, 2025 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home Otisville. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Saturday from 11AM until the time of her service.
Cheryl was born on July 6th, 1945 to Homer and Elouise Clausing in Chicago Heights, IL. After graduating from Peotone High School in June 1963, she married her High School sweetheart, Jim Ingerson on August 30th, 1963 in Peotone, IL.
Cheryl started her office career at Bennett Industries as a typist in Peotone, IL. She also helped her husband at the local Standard Oil gas station that he and a friend, Carl Sandberg, owned. She also worked with her husband for many years in their auto repair business.
Cheryl's most prized possession were her two girls, Mary Ann and Paula. Her greatest joy was found in being their Mom. Her love also spread to her grandchildren, Jennifer, Kayla, Kyle, Jade, Megan, and great grandchildren, Henry and Jacob. She was a loving and doting Grandma.
Cheryl instilled a faith in God in her family and exemplified what it meant to be a servant. She and Jim never knew a stranger, and Cheryl cooked many meals for friends and family. There was always room at their table. She also loved sewing, crafting, gardening, and canning.
Special thanks to special friends and caregivers Fawn Colombatto and Tammy Ranaldi who cared for Cheryl so lovingly.
Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann (Mike) Price, Paula Cadieux (Tony Barrera), grandchildren Jennifer (Nick) Sullivan, Kayla (Dan) May, Kyle Price, Jade and Megan Cadieux, great grandchildren, Henry and Jacob Sullivan, brother Gary Clausing, sister Donna Werner, sister in laws Barbara Ingerson, Ann Baker, Marilyn Wade, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, her parents, an infant brother, and sister in laws Connie Clausing and Elaine (Pat) Philbrick.
