CHARLES VERNON SIMPSON age 88 of Millington died Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Brian's House of Davison. Funeral services will be held11 AM Monday, December 18, 2006 at the Otisville Church of Christ, Rev. Sam Pace officiating. Burial will be at Millington Township Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday and Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 PM at the Hudson Funeral Service, Otisville. Contributions may be made to Brian's House of Davison. He was born January 3, 1918 in Fisk MO. Charles married Norma Gibbs on February 10, 1956 in Angola, IN. Charles was a member of Otisville Church of Christ, the NRA, UAW Local # 1292, Peppy Pioneers Club. He played euchre, horse shoes, he farmed & gardened. Charles sold produce, loved hunting, and was a welding instructor. He played guitar and loved entertaining. Charles retired from General Motors Fisher Body Grand Blanc Plant. Surviving is his wife Norma, Children: Charles E. Simpson, Janet M.(Charles) Riley, Richard K.(Sally)Simpson, Robert D.(Ruth) Simpson, Donna J.(Gary) Stewart, Michael V.(Bonnie) Simpson Sr., Jerry L.(Janet) Simpson, James W. Simpson, V. Darlene Simpson, Brenda K.(Brian) Tanner, Victor E.(Cindy) Simpson Sr., Mary Ann (George) Mansfield. Also 38 Grandchildren, many great and great great-grandchildren, 4 sisters and a brother Preceded in death by his parents, James and Amanda (Wells) Simpson, 2 sons Chester L. and Paul H. Simpson, granddaughter; Debra J. Simpson and 4 sisters.
