CHARLES B. PEAR of Grand Blanc, age 88 died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Avalon Hospice Care Center. Visitation will be Friday, 6-8 pm and Saturday 10 AM until 2 PM. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Hudson Funeral Service, Otisville. Rev. Joy Fletcher will officiate. Burial will be in Smith Hill Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Davison V.F.W. or Avalon Hospice. Charles was born to Joseph and Lottie (Branch) Pear on September 18, 1921. He married Mary Barber of Flint on May 31, 1947. Charles was a member of Davison V.F.W. , Flint Eagles, Burton Moose. He enjoyed golf, walking, traveling, spending time with family and friends. Surviving are his daughter: Christine and Francis Boone; granddaughter: Jennifer and Nevelle Rathe of Gainsville, FL., several nieces, nephews and special friends. He was preceded by his wife, parents; brother: Joe Pear; sisters: Barbara Pear, Shirley Lydon, Mildred Natzke and Maxine Rice.
