Cecil L. Smith

CECIL L. SMITH age 100 of Linden formerly of Davison died Thursday, May 15, 2008 at the home of his daughter. Funeral services will be held 1PM Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Hudson Funeral Service, Inc., Pastor Bill Acton officiating. Burial will be in Smith Hill Cemetery. Visitation is 2PM – 8PM Sunday, 4-8 PM Monday and Noon to 1 PM Tuesday. Contributions may be made to the Flint Salvation Army or The Davison Free Methodist Church. Cecil was born on February 29, 1908 at Port Huron, MI to Hiram and Edith Smith. He married Thelma Leonard on August 22, 1934 in Otisville. He was a member of The Davison Free Methodist Church. Cecil retired as an electrician from General Motors in 1973. He survived by 3 daughters: Wanda Bell of Sacramento, CA., Marilyn Allen of St. Helens, OR., Karen (Tom) Williams of Linden; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Thelma on November 15, 1986.
