Cecil J. Costello

CECIL J. COSTELLO, age 99 of Otisville, died Monday, June 22, 2015 at the Pine River Health Care Facility. His funeral service will be held at 3PM Thursday, June 25, 2015 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Otisville. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church from 11AM until the time of service. Contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Cecil was born on June 30, 1916 in Stalwart, Michigan to John and Rose Costello. While serving his country during WWII, Cecil received a Purple Heart. Cecil was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and UAW Local 599. He enjoyed hunting and farming. He is survived by his children: Twila Diegert, Gayle (James) Geth, and Dennis Costello; grandchildren: Angela, Jason, David, Andrew, Corrine, and Dennis Jr.,; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice; son, Gary; sisters: Malita and Gertrude; and his parents.
