CARROLL C. OWEN, Jr., age 88 of Otisville, died on Monday, March 20, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 11AM-8PM. Carroll was born on May 20, 1928 in Lapeer, MI to Carroll and Lela (Davis) Owen. He married Louise Badgley on June 11, 1949. He worked at AC Spark Plug in Flint for 30 years, retiring in 1978. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports and spending time with his family. Carroll coached Little League Baseball, served on the Otisville Village Council as Trustee and Clerk, and was a member of the Otisville Lions Club and Otisville Methodist Church. Surviving is his wife of 67 years, Louise; sons: Terry (Darlene), Michael (Carla), and Tim (Ananda); daughters: Cathy (Jim) and Christy (Bill); sister, Shirley Gaskins; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; nephew, Leland (Nancy); niece, Margaret (Gary) Lynette Owen; and brother and sister-in-law, Stan and Gladys Liddell. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Dorothy; brothers and sisters-in-law: Marion and Ellen and Max and Ruby; step-sister, Mary Jane; nephew, Bob; father and mother-in-law, Emerson and Marion Badgley; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Carl Atkins; son-in-law, Randy Whitehead; and fishing buddy, Ralph Hemingway.
