(Carolyn) Jane Hazel

(CAROLYN) JANE HAZEL, age 78 of Davison, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 11AM Saturday, December 7, 2013 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Otisville, with Pastor Dave Weiss officiating. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-8PM on Thursday, December 5, 2013 and from 2-8 PM Friday, December 6, 2013 at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Leader Dog for the Blind or a charity of one's choice. Jane was born on April 24, 1935 to Lewis and Lillian (Schlaack) Bennett. Jane was a member of the Otisville Lioness Club. She enjoyed bird watching, baking, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving is her husband, Royal Hazel; children: Cheryl (Richard) Voelker, Louise Renshaw, Dean Hazel, Amy Johnson, Julie (Mickey) Taylor, and Mark Hazel; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Cecil Bartholomew; and grandson, Brian Hazel.
