Carolyn Ann Edwards

Carolyn Ann Edwards, of Columbiaville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 10, 2023 in Houston, Texas. A memorial gathering will be held at the Columbiaville Community Center and Banquet Hall on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 1:00-5:00pm.

Mrs. Edwards was born on February 16, 1947 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Darrell and Virginia Knapp (Weigandt).  She married Hadley W. Palmer, Jr. of Columbiaville in 1967 and they had two children: Terry W. Palmer and Richard P. Palmer. Carolyn married Glen Edwards of Columbiaville in 1985 and they were married for 25 years. Carolyn enjoyed baking, playing card games, going on cruises, fishing, and being around friends and family. She loved to be outside tending to her garden and flowers as well. To her nieces and nephews, she was known as the "Donut Lady" and would always bring them donuts when she visited. She worked for General Motors and as a receptionist for many years before her retirement. She will be sadly missed.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her first husband, Hadley W. Palmer, Jr.; father, Darrell Knapp; mother, Virginia (MeMe) Weigant; stepfather, John (BOPA) Weigandt; sister, Sandy Steward; brothers-in-law: Eddie Steward and Tom Mathews; and grandmother, Adeline (Cargill) Giffei. She is survived by her two sons: Terry (Mercia) Palmer and Richard (Cristina) Palmer; sister, Darlene (Terry) Owen; niece, Sherry Steward; nephews: Jeff Terri) Steward and Tracy (Kim) Mathews; granddaughter, Summer Palmer; grandsons: Wesley Palmer and Ethan Palmer; and numerous great nieces and nephews, who all enjoyed "Annie" as they would call her. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
