Carol Ann Wilson

CAROL ANN WILSON age 70 of Millington and Columbiaville area passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Genesys Hospice Center, Goodrich. She suffered for five plus years with bone cancer and a tumor on the brain. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Hudson Funeral Service, Otisville. Visitation with the family will be 10-11 AM Saturday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family. She was born in Lapeer, MI on October 30, 1937 to James Butler Ivory and Bernice Lorene (Kurtz) Ivory. She married James Darrell Wilson on June 30, 1961. Jim preceded her in death in 1982. Carol worked at the Millington Herald/LakeVille Aerial (one of Michigan's top newspapers) in Millington, as both publisher and editor for many years. She then worked at other newspapers until she stayed with the Lapeer County Press until she retired from the newspaper business. Carol also loved to collect antiques and Depression glass this was a lifetime hobby of hers. She is survived by her children: Jennifer Louise (Wilson) Sayles of Millington and Darrell James Wilson of Caro; twin sisters: Janet (Les) Davis of Otter Lake and Joyce (Francis) Morey of Fostoria; grandchildren: Rebecca Marie Quist, Jessica Irene Sayles, Daryl-Jo Lorraine Jackson and Abigail Josephine Sayles.
