Bruce C. Rubey

BRUCE C. RUBEY, age 76 of Davison, died Sunday, April 25, 2021 at his residence. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 1-3PM and 5-8PM at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. A private family funeral service will be held at a later date. Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time. Mask, group capacity and distancing guidelines must be practiced. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lennon Veterans Memorial Wall. Bruce was born to Bruce and Vivian Rubey on February 8, 1945 in Durand, MI. He was a very talented football player for Owosso High School and graduated class of 1963. He served his country as a Sergeant and Tank Commander in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea. He worked at Hank Graff Chevrolet for 25 years. Bruce enjoyed building hot rods, riding motorcycles, and hunting. He was a member of the Columbiaville Sportsman Club where he enjoyed his passion for precision target shooting. He was respected by many as a expert gun builder and marksman.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine; children: Troy (Jennifer) Rubey, Heidi Rubey, Step-children Theresa (Michael) Ross, and Amy (Brad) Slywka; grandchildren: Kalie, Jessica, Kristine, step-grandchildren: Noah, Delaina, Katie, Emily, and Lexi; siblings: Bethany Roedel and Joe Rubey; several nieces and nephews; and his shooting brothers. Bruce was preceded in death by his wife, Paula Rubey; son: Paul Van Allen and Step-son Kirk Watts; and Bruce's parents, Bruce and Vivian Rubey.
