Betty A. Dumler

Betty A. Dumler, age 96 of Millington, died peacefully, with her family at her side, on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Covenant Glen Assisted Living in Frankenmuth, MI. Her funeral service will be at 2PM on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 11AM until the time of her service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Covenant Glen, 1040 Covenant Drive, Frankenmuth, MI 48734 or to Clio Area Senior Center, 2136 W. Vienna Rd, Clio, MI 48420.

Betty was born in Flint, MI on October 21, 1928, to Reuben and Anna Rouse.  She married Robert Dumler on February 28, 1948. They celebrated 59 years of marriage before Robert died on September 5, 2007. Betty graduated from Central High School in Flint and retired from Ternstedt, with over 31 years of service. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the casino, and doing crafts.

She is survived by her children: Douglas (Karen) Dumler, Wendy Wheeler, and Kathy (Dean) Hennessy; grandchildren: Vicki (Ed) Reed, Kimberly (Mike) Sugg, Amy (Scott) Fischer, Tracy (Paul) Hensel, and Heather (Tim) Sergent; Megan and (Ed) Affer, Bryan and (Kali) Hennessy as well as 21 great grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren, and many other extended family members.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dumler; parents, Anna and Reuben Rouse; sister, Shirley Ritchie; brother, Jay Rouse; and son-in-law, Dennis Wheeler.

A special "Thank You" to Cathy Harris for her dedication to the care of our Mother.  Also, "Thank You" to Covenant Glen of Frankenmuth for the care they gave to our Mother in her final days.
