Bette Ann Schneider

BETTE ANN SCHNEIDER, age 71 of New Smyrna Beach, formerly of Otter Lake, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be 3PM Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 10:30AM until the time of service. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Association of Mental Illness. Bette was born in Otter Lake on October 5, 1941 to Ralph and Hazel (Belnap) Jenkins. She was a secretary for Lakeville Schools for 17 years and was a former member of the Eagles and the Lapeer County Sheriff's Reserve. Bette enjoyed quilting and gardening and spending time with her friends and family at the Otter Lake Campground. Surviving is her husband, Lawrence; children: Lori Waugh, Kathy Kulmatycki, Teresa (Don) Amman and Joseph (Shannon) Schneider; step-children: Carrie, Becky, and James; grandchildren: Joshua, Cory, Matthew, Nathan, and Alyssa; great-grandchild, Jayda; and many, many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Richard, William, Ralph, Jerry and Jimmy.
