Bette Lee Green

Bette Lee Green, age 84 of Otisville, died Thursday, April 24, 2025.  Her funeral service will be held at 2PM on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Otisville. In honor of Bette, please wear blue to her funeral, as that was her favorite color. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from Noon -7PM at the Mumford-Hudosn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 450 E. Wilson Rd., Otisville, MI 48463 or to the family.

Bette was born on March 7, 1941 in Flint, MI to Maurice and Helen Clark. She graduated from Dye High School in 1959, where she played the clarinet in the high school band. She worked at Mansour grocery store as a cashier until she married Don Green on August 8, 1964. They lived in an apartment in Clio, MI until November 1964 when they bought their house in Otisville.  She worked for Citizens Bank from 1998 until 2008. Bette ended up selling her house in April 2024 and lived her remaining life in Otter Lake with her daughter, Brenda and son-in-law, Chuck Smith.

Bette was a member of the Otisville Lioness for several years.  She enjoyed planting flowers and working in the yard, working with Don on projects, baking, playing the organ, crocheting and knitting.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to church, and singing in the choir. She loved watching the Detroit Tigers and Lions with her son-in-law, Chuck, and loving on her fur babies.

She is survived by daughter, Brenda (Chuck) Smith; son Ken (Kristy) Blakemore; son, Joe ( Kelly) Blakemore; son, Mike Douglas; daughter, Keri Parish; son, Steve (Lanette) Reif; bonus grandchildren: Greg, Charles, Melissa Smith, and Brian Douglas, Mark and Malaysia; grand furbabies: Shadow, Molly, Willow, Nash, Dax, and Princess Lulu Leia-who was the apple of her eye.  She also had her "favorite," which was Kitty.
