Beth R. Johnsen

BETH RENE' JOHNSEN, age 71 of Otisville, died Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at her residence. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 1-5PM at the funeral home. Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time. Mask, group capacity and distancing guidelines must be practiced. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date. Beth was born in Goodrich, MI on July 10, 1949 to Roy and Helen Ireland. Beth was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Otisville and she enjoyed crafting, sewing, crocheting, knitting, and solving logic puzzles. Beth worked as an EMT and as a dispatcher for the State Police. She also worked for LakeVille Schools for many years, doing many different things, but her favorite job was working as a Para Pro in Special Education. Beth is survived by her children: Michael (Kara) Johnsen, Marc Johnsen, Malisa (James) Rodgers, and Malynda Goodman; grandchildren: Drake, Willow, Zoey, Madison, Kaylee, Elizabeth, Isabelle, Gracie, Louesa, Kiyah, Chloe, Jordan, and Hunter; siblings: Garland (Sally) Ireland, Thomas (Janis) Ireland, Charles (Diane) Campbell, Sheri Pratt, and Linda Malm; sister in-laws: Shirley Nau and Beatrice (Joann) Ferguson;  and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, and best friend, Bonnie Morris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Johnsen, Jr.; brother, Robert Cornwall; parents; step-mother, Donna Ireland; and daughter in-law, Novel Johnsen.
