Barry Gene Burgess

BARRY GENE BURGESS, passed suddenly at his home on September 5, 2022, two days after his 69th birthday.

Barry was born in Flint, MI on September 3, 1953. He was the second child of John Henry Burgess of Genesee County and Delores Helen Gee of Columbiaville. He was first raised in Lapeer County and attended the Columbiaville schools until the second grade when his family moved to Genesee, where he remained the rest of his life. His first, last and always love in school was basketball (number 33). He is survived by his three loving daughters: Jennifer Lynn (Bill) Thompson of Bay City, Brigette (Joshua) Edinborough, and Kylie (Cody) Garity of Johnson Creek, WI; grandchildren: Amil, Aden, Delilah, Sofia, Mathew, and James; siblings: Jill (Donald "Buzz") Purcell of Swartz Creek, Steven (Peggy) Burgess of Blairsville, GA, Tim Burgess of Genesee MI, and Mitchell (Amy) Burgess of Genesee MI; Uncle Merritt "Dan" (Alice) Potter of Chattanooga, TN, maternal Aunt Gloria "Gee" (Melvin) Wilson of Cape Coral Fl, and paternal Aunt Leona (Burgess) Greene. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John James Burgess.
