Barbara J. Smith

Barbara J. Smith, age 80 of Birch Run, died on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Medi Lodge of Montrose. Her funeral service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. Cremation will follow her service. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 1-8PM and Thursday from 10AM until the time of her service, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Barbara was born in Flint on February 16, 1943 to William and Evelin Goodman. She ran a daycare out of her home for several years and she enjoyed crafting. Barb also loved spending time with her grandkids and riding around on her golf cart.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Smith; children: Jackie (Robert) King and Jill (William) Gilbert; grandchildren: Adam (Page) King, Kacey (Michael) Skelly, Drew (Alexis) King, and Julia King; great grandchildren: Karsyn, Griffin, Kendrie, and Hudson; siblings: Linda Glowski and Billie Dawn Simmonds; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Eric King; and sisters: Diane Robertson and Sue Utica.
