Arthur J. Goodhue

ARTHUR J. GOODHUE, age 95 of Otisville, died Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Woodland Park. Arthur's funeral service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with Pastor Shelly Long and Ann Norton officiating. An Eastern Star service and a Masonic service will precede the funeral service at 1PM. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 11AM until the time of his service at the funeral home. Arthur was born on April 21, 1924 to Ernest and Vinnie Goodhue. He was a member of the Otisville Order of the Eastern Star 282 Nourmahal and the Masonic Lodge 401 F&AM in Otisville. Arthur served in the U.S. Army with Company H, 134th Infantry Regiment, and 35th Infantry Division during WWII. Among many other awards Arthur received a Medal of Honor for his efforts in the Liberation of France. Arthur continued to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force until retirement. Following the Military Arthur also went to work for and retired form Genova Products Inc. Arthur enjoyed traveling, fishing and watching the Detroit Tigers play baseball. Arthur is survived by his wife, Beverly Goodhue; children: Michael (Barb) Goodhue, Timothy (Chaundelle) Goodhue, Mary Jo Goodhue, and Tara Goodhue; grandchildren: Shannon (Eric) Wiesenfeld, Tearsa Cunningham, Ryan Goodhue, Kristin VanWagoner (Thomas Briskey), Haley (Joshua) Bukoffsky, and Christopher (Sarah) Goodhue; great grandchildren: Alexis, Dara, Kayleigh, Ka'Miah, Lyla and Greyson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sister.
