Argie M. Beckley

ARGIE M. BECKLEY, age 96 of Flint, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 1PM on Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 5-8PM and on Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 12-3PM and 5-8PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice. Argie was born in Rector, AR to Elmer and Colosse Manning. She married Dalton Beckley on October 18, 1941 in Kennett, MO. Argie enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening in her flower and vegetable gardens, and canning. She is survived by her children: George (Kimberly) Beckley, Chester (Judy) Beckley, Phillip (Freda) Beckley, and Gail Beckley; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters: Ruby Nellie-Reaves and Dorothy Sue Burns. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton; son, Dalton "Sonny" Jr.; two brothers; one sister; and her parents.
