ARDATH L. (DOANE) TEMPLETON age 78 of Otisville died Sunday December 25, 2005 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday December 28, 2005 at the Otisville United Methodist Church, Rev. Jim James officiating. Burial in Smith Hill Cemetery. Visitation at Hudson Funeral Service Monday from Noon to 9PM. Tuesday 10 AM to 9 PM. Donations may be made to the Otisville United Methodist Church or Alzheimer's Association. Ardath was born in Detroit, MI. May 23, 1927 the daughter of daughter of Burdette and Marjorie (Stimson) Doane. She married Robert D. Templeton July 18, 1946 in Otisville. Ardath worked at the Pentagon during WWII and was a piano teacher for many years. She also served as music director of the church and was an adult leader for the Methodist Youth Fellowship. She was a member of the Otisville United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Otisville Historical Society, Michigan Music Teachers Assoc., the League of Women Voters and the ACLU. Surviving are her husband: Robert; Children: Rodney (Deborah) Templeton, Ross (Susan) Templeton, Roberta (Dr. George) Mohamedally, Dr. Ralph (Christine) Templeton, Dr. Russell (Elizabeth) Templeton and Roger Templeton, 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren;sister: Donna Renshaw; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
