Annalee Lorraine Lawe

(July 1, 1942-May 14, 2021)

In loving memory of Annalee Lorraine Lawe of Otter Lake, MI, who passed away on May 14, 2021 at Maple Woods Manor in Clio.

Annalee "Lee" Lawe was born July 1, 1942 to the late Clyde and Othealia (Crandall) Smith. Annalee was one of 6 children and was known by many as Lee. Lee married Darrel Lawe on November 19, 1960 and together they have 3 sons: Kevin (Lisa) Lawe of Millington, Kenneth Lawe of Birch Run and Joseph (Pamela) Lawe of Millington. Lee worked at Weber's IGA in the deli for many years and also catered many celebrations for family and friends.

Lee loved watching the Detroit Tigers, while sitting in her favorite chair sipping a diet 7-up. She also enjoyed the summertime, when her hummingbirds would come back to visit. Sunday evenings were her favorite as her brother and sister-in-law always came over for a few games of Pinochle or Dominos. Lee also bowled for many years on several bowling leagues.

Lee leaves behind her 3 sons; 5 grandchildren: Casey (Ethan) Babcock, Rachel (Will) Millington, Donnia (Zak) Graney, Nicholas Lawe and Matthew Lawe; three great grandchildren: Olivia and William Millington and Remington Babcock. She leaves behind 2 brothers: Dave (DeDe) Smith and Richard (Laurie) Smith; 1 sister, Kris (Joe) Myers; and many nieces and nephews. Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Darrel "Wayne";brother, Phil Smith; sister, Sue (Smith) Wescoat; niece, Amber (Wescoat) Conlay; daughter-in-law, Susan (Kenneth) Lawe; and one unborn granddaughter. The family would like to thank Renee and Brian Garrison for always being a great neighbor in time of need and the staff at Maple Woods Manor for their exceptional care during the end of Lee's life.

At this time the family has honored Lee's wishes and cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life for Darrel & Lee later this spring.
