Anna M. Stroope

ANNA M. STROOPE, age 89 of Millington died Friday April 7, 2006 at Country Care Assisted Living, Montrose. The funeral service will be 1 PM Tuesday April 11, 2006 at the Hudson Funeral Service, Inc., Otisville, Rev. Jim James officiating. Burial will be in Smith Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday and Monday 3– 9 PM. Contributions may be made to Hartland Hospice or the West Forest United Methodist Church. She was born on November 24, 1916 the daughter of Adam and Anna Amon. Anna married Lawson D. Stroope, Sept. 24, 1938 at Auburn, IN. She worked 30 years at Smith's, 12 years at AC Spark Plug, and ran a centennial farm. She was a member of West Forest United Methodist Church. Surviving are 2 sons: David L. and Sandy Stroope of Columbiaville, Ronald G. and Ellen Stroope of Wellington, FL, Cheryl A. Parsell of Swartz Creek;12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; Brother: Joe (Joy) Amon; Sisters: Elizabeth Walker and Ilene (Edward) Acord. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawson in 1982, a brother: Adam Amon, 2 sisters: Mary Meader and Rose Harry
