Allen Hinman

ALLEN HINMAN, age 83 of Lake George, formerly of Burton, died Friday, February 11, 2022 at My Michigan Health in Clare. His funeral service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 10AM until the time of his service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hollenbeck Cemetery. Al was born in Poplar Bluff, MO on September 23, 1938 to Herschel and Elva Hinman. He married Robin Riley on July 18, 1975. He worked for General Motors for 35 years, retiring from Buick City in 1996. Al enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, gardening, bowling, and playing softball. He was a devoted Detroit Tigers fan. Al was known for lending a helping hand and he always treated his neighbors like family. He is survived by his wife, Robin; sons: Mark (Sue) Hinman and Paul (Shirly) Hinman; 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; siblings: Betty, Dorothy, Carol, Larry and Shirley; brother-in-law, Herb (Linda); and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jane; grandchildren: Lindsey and Matthew; brothers: Jerry, Ken, and James; brother in-law, Bob; and his parents.
