Alice W. Spence

ALICE W. SPENCE, of Brooklyn age 88, past away February 5, 2006 at Lynwood Manor Healthcare Center, Adrian MI. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at the Hudson Funeral Service Inc. Otisville, Michigan. Burton Ward from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2PM to 9PM. Alice was born August 25, 1917 in Flint, Michigan to David and Amy Evalene (Roberts) Lutze. Alice grew up in Flint and Otisville. She married and moved to Ohio, and southern Michigan, before moving to the Gladwin area and then back to the Irish Hills, MI area. She was active in the Brooklyn Eagles for several years. She leaves to cherish memory 2 daughters Ann Hanson of Flint and Alice Williams of Brooklyn, MI. Alice dearly loved her 7 grandchildren: Steve Spurgeon, Terry and (Trish) Spurgeon, Tammy (Mark) Stetson, Peter(Cindy) Hanson, Kaelena Hanson, Kary Hanson, and Peteena (John) Murray;10 great-grandchildren: Heather Stetson, Jerod Spurgeon, Tyler Spurgeon, Jessica Spurgeon, Brett Wefel, Cody Williams, Wyatt Williams, Katie Barber, Andrew Hanson, Christopher Hanson, John Murray, and Jessica Murray . Sisters: Lila Green, Gladys Lutze, and Estella Ackely. Many special nieces and nephews, she loved them all. Special niece that she stayed with when she came to Flint, Linda Steven. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Willard, Glen, Vern and Don. Her family would like to say thank you to the staff at Lynwood Manor, to special friend Sharon Ramsey; Irish Hills Eagles of Brooklyn and all those that helped so much.
