Aileen May Acre

Aileen May Acre, age 98 of Columbiaville, passed away on April 2, 2025 at home surrounded by her family. Her funeral service will be held at 4PM on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from Noon until the time of her service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

Aileen was born on December 4, 1926 in Deerfield, MI to Dewey and Wilda (Oliver) Woodrow. She married Ralph M. Acre on April 4, 1946 and they enjoyed a joyous, 69-year partnership. Aileen was trained and worked as a cosmetologist, owning her own shop at one time. While she held several jobs throughout her adult life, she primarily was a housewife and mother. She also enjoyed bowling, camping, and playing games with the family.

Aileen is survived by her three children: Anita Brown, James (Rose) Acre, and Kenneth (Dawn) Acre; grandchildren: Michael (Tammy) Mize, Bobbi-Jo (Brody) Springer, Melissa (Bobby) Amaral, Mandy (Nate) Albertie, Lisa (Ed) Kritzman, Brendan (Ashton) Acre, and Ashley Acre; twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; parents, Dewey and Wilda; brother, James Woodrow; sister, Helen Alvord; granddaughter, Jamie Acre; grandson, Jason Church; and great grandson, Ian Mize.
